Pelton Wheel Turbine Test

Product Description

The unit consists of a centrifugal pump provided with variable speed motor. The pump is provided with a vacuum gauge at suction and a pressure gauge on discharge pipe. The pump is provided with a variable speed drive & gate valve at discharge which facilitates estimation of pump performance at various speeds & discharge heads. Power input to motor is measure with energy meter.

1. Pelton Wheel: Fitted with 18 buckets, nozzle for water jet, casing with one side of perspex sheet.
2. Suitable pump to supply pressurised water to the turbine at the head of 30 m & 5 Hp capacity.
3. Orifice meter to measure water flow rate.

5. Rope brake arrangement with spring balances.
6. Sump tank provided with sump & turbine mounting arrangement.
