The unit consists of a sensing unit and indicating unit. The machine vice is mounted over the sensing unit which uses strain gauges fixed over specially shaped sensing section, sense the forces in three directions viz. 2 components in horizontal direction and one vertical component. The indicating unit consists of power supply to strain gauges bridge balance and digital indicator with a channel selector switch. The unit is sturdy and simple in operation and it can be easily mounted over the table of milling machine DYNAMOMETER is calibrated for loads up to 200 Kg in all the directions. It is compact and reliable. A technical manual accompanies the unit.
